Hoop house from unusual materials
Posted on
Due to the usual sort of odd circumstances, there happened to be an old McDonalds play set on my parents property. Over the summer of 2020, we tore it down and turned the usable parts into an agricultural poly tunnel. (I usually just call the thing a Hoop House.
Some additional parts had to be fabricated, mostly from aluminum pipe. I made these custom fittings to be as similar as possible to the Kee-Clamp system used by the play-set.
The construction was an unusual success, and the Hoop house has one successful growing season under its belt at time of writing.
